FACT ON THE BACK:
Our legs are made up of five sections: the upper leg, the knee, the lower leg, the ankle and the foot. The largest bone in your body, the femur, resides in the upper leg. On one end it connects to the pelvis, creating the hip joint. At the other end, it forms the knee joint with the tibia (shin). Like all moveable joints, your knee is protected by cartilage and ligaments. Exercising and stretching your hip joints and ankles help keep your knees healthy. Warming up and cooling down before and after a workout is really important for your knees too!
